Does DTF printing require a lot of printer maintenance?

+ -

DTF printing still requires the same maintenance that DTG needs. Just not as often. DTG ink does not clog up as bad and when clogs do happen, they are a lot easier to clean. DTF white ink still separates and will need a daily shake. Best form of maintenance is regular printing. If you print every 2 days, all you will need to do is shake the ink and run an automatic printhead clean before printing.

How much powder and ink does a DTF printer consume for printing one square meter?

+ -

Printing one square meter consumes about 3 grams of powder and 20g of ink (all colors)

Can it be mixed with ink from other manufacturers?

+ -

Inks from different manufacturers cannot be mixed and need to be cleaned with special cleaning fluid or pure water

Can I print on DTF film with DTG ink?

+ -

No, DTF printing requires special DTF ink. Printing with DTG ink on DTF film will make the ink run and mix with white and CMYK.

How much does is to cost to print an A3 sheet?

+ -

At the current rate you will roughly spend £0.23 for dtf powder + £0.16 on white ink + £0.14 on CMYK ink + £0.55 on dtf film sheet = £1.08.

How to solve the problem of white ink flying during printing?

+ -

The reason is that the waveform is incorrect and the bottom of the nozzle carriage is too high from the platform.

Solution:Change to the correct waveform and lower the height of the bottom of the nozzle carriage from the platform to 2.5mm.

The film feeding and laminating will deviate

+ -

Usually it’s because the pressure at both ends of the hot roller is uneven, which causes the two sides to be out of sync after feeding a certain distance, film A will wrinkle, and film B will deviate.

Solution: The pressure at both ends of the hot roller needs to be adjusted to balance it, and the damping of the paper collector below needs to be adjusted to balance both sides

Color mismatch

+ -

The stepping of the pressure roller is disturbed by the power of the finished paper receiver. The power of the paper receiver is too large, making the stepping of the pressure roller inaccurate.

Solution: Adjust the damping of the finished paper receiver to make the stepping of the pressure roller consistent.
