Description
Appearance and structure:
A sturdy and durable metal frame and shell are used to ensure the stability and durability of the equipment. Its compact design and small footprint make it easy to flexibly arrange in a production line or studio. The machine is equipped with a precise powdering device, a vibration powder shaking system and an efficient drying module, which work together to complete the color fixing of the pattern.
The DTF Powder Shaking and Drying Machine is a key piece of equipment in the Direct to Film (DTF) printing process, integrating powder application, powder shaking, and drying into one. It is mainly used to evenly apply powder to a printed image and then heat it to melt and solidify the adhesive powder onto the surface of the design. Below is a detailed step-by-step usage process for the machine:
1. Preparation
Equipment Check: Ensure that the DTF powder shaking and drying machine is in normal working condition, including checking the power supply, availability of hot melt powder, and whether the powder application box and collection tray are clean.
Print File Preparation:
Print the design onto the specialized DTF transfer film using a DTF printer. Proceed to the next step while the ink is still wet.
2. Powder Application Process
Loading the Transfer Film:
Place the printed transfer film into the machine's input section. The film will move along a conveyor belt into the powder application area.
Automatic Powder Application:
The machine will automatically adjust the amount of powder based on the size and thickness of the design, applying hot melt adhesive powder evenly across the surface of the image. The amount of powder can be adjusted based on specific needs to ensure the right amount covers the design area.
3. Powder Shaking Process
Removing Excess Powder:
After applying the powder, the machine enters the powder-shaking stage. Through vibration or shaking, the excess powder that hasn't adhered to the design is removed and collected in the recovery unit.
Powder Recycling:
The excess powder is automatically recovered into the collection box to avoid waste and can be reused.
4. Drying and Curing
Heating and Drying:
After powder application and shaking, the transfer film continues along the conveyor belt into the drying section. The machine heats (usually between 160°C and 180°C) to melt the hot melt powder, making it adhere firmly to the ink on the design.
Temperature and Time Control: The drying temperature and time can be adjusted based on the type of ink and powder to ensure the powder is fully melted and the design remains intact.
5. Cooling and Output
Cooling Process: The dried transfer film passes through a cooling area to quickly cool and solidify the melted adhesive powder, making it ready for further processing.
Output: After cooling, the transfer film is output from the machine, ready for the next step in the heat transfer process.
6. Transferring the Design onto Materials
Heat Press Transfer:
Place the prepared transfer film onto fabric or other materials, and use a heat press to apply heat and pressure to transfer the design. Typically, the temperature is set between 160°C and 180°C, and the process takes 10-15 seconds.
Peeling the Film:
After cooling, peel off the transfer film, leaving the design securely attached to the material, completing the transfer process.
Important Notes:
Regular Maintenance:
Regularly clean the powder application box and the recovery box to prevent powder buildup, which can affect machine efficiency.
Temperature Control:
Adjust the drying temperature according to the material and powder used to avoid overheating, which can damage the design.
Powder Selection:
Use the appropriate hot melt powder to ensure compatibility with the ink and materials for optimal adhesion and durability.
By following these steps, the DTF powder shaking and drying machine can efficiently complete the processes of powder application, drying, and curing, providing a solid foundation for DTF transfers.
